A New Light

Now.

Dig.

Eat.

Sleep.

Live.

Through the horrible times.
I see the light.
I feel the warmth.
It welcomes me.

Now that I'm on my own.
I've found ways to make it all so great.
Sure, some are gonna be against it.
All I'm gonna say is "You don't have to be here..."
Finished with everything.
Clocked out at 5.
No over-time.
I have too much of that.
We stand at the top of these rooftops.
Screaming at each other.
I'll know when my times up.
When everything is done.
And when I can finally go home and sleep.
At least I can say, "I marked my time and...Hey...I tried."
